Eureka Review: "Clash of the Titans"

at .

The Atraeus mission to Titan claimed its first victim on "Clash of the Titans." It was "Tiny," the rover that was sent ahead to setup a base came for the team on Titan.

Okay, so maybe Tiny exploding wasn't really the first victim of the mission given that she was a robot. But, after having previously possessed emotions and being a protective mother, I think she earned her place on the crew list. Rest in peace, Tiny, your contributions to the mission will not soon be forgotten.

Wallace Shawn on Eureka

As a Princess Bride fan, I found it inconceivably fun that Wallace Shaw made a guest appearance as Warren Hughes, a visitor from the D.O.D. here to evaluate Jack and Allison’s relationship.

Like Jack, I saw the whole form IA248, (the "Intimate Alliance" Form) as laughable and unnecessary. I didn’t see Warren going the direction of not recommending their relationship. Jack, you have the right idea, you can fix this! For starters, Allison is only the interim GD Director. When she goes back to being the Chief Medical person then you shouldn’t have any problems... right?

Or, better yet, make Warren hang around Eureka for a couple of weeks. I will bet within the span of three weeks he will change his mind about the whole things when he sees what an awesome team you guys make.

Hey, Warren, are you ready for a battle of wits? Do you remember how this turned out last time? Allison is a genius and has spent the last several months building up her tolerance to Iocain powder. This won’t end well for you... again!

I totally didn’t expect to see Jo as the romantic. She really wants to be married, even if she is not conscious of it. But, that’s okay, Zane is coming around and I think she may end up having more on her plate than she expected soon. All it is going to take is Jo and Zane saying goodbye a few more times and it should seal the deal of him staying in Eureka.

Who wants to put odds on Zane doing something to sabotage his parole as a way to stay close to Jo if it looks like he has to leave when he doesn’t want too? I am not much of a gambler, but I would go even money on it.

Have I mentioned how much I adore Holly? For the record, Holly, I like both Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Trek: The Original Series, too.

Her and Fargo’s budding romance is so adorable to watch. Grayson and Day play so well off of each other, they had some of the best banter. I find myself smiling even bigger when they go all geek talk. I’m hard pressed to admit it, but, Holly is actually a better fit for Fargo than the adorably cute Claudia from Warehouse 13

I know we only have one more season of Eureka, but here is hoping that Felicia Day’s Martin is able to be a full-time character for it. You hear, me Jaime Paglia? If we have to lose our beloved show, can we at least keep a favorite recurring character for what we have left?

With only three episodes remaining this season, things are getting exciting very quickly. While I have complete faith that Jack and Allison will figure out how to get “D.O.D Approved,” getting there is going to be quite interesting.

Eureka Season 4 Episode 17 Quotes

Holly: Our budding urges are getting in the way.
Fargo: Our? As in Mutual?
Holly: Absolutely, that's why I think the most sensible course of actions is to satisfy them. [Reaches for him]
Fargo: Now?
Holly: The sooner we consummate, the sooner we concentrate

Allison: Now that we are involved I had to file an IA248 with the DOD
Jack: IA??
Allison: It's the form required for our intimate alliance.
Jack: There can't be a form for that!
