Tahmoh Penikett is hurdling toward The CW.

The former Battlestar Galactica actor has been cast on the Supernatural Season 9 premiere as Ezekiel, an angel described by showrunner Jeremy Carver as "a dignified warrior injured in the Fall" that concluded Supernatural Season 8.

This beloved drama left us in May with multiple angels crashing down to Earth from Heaven.

Aside from the aforementioned Syfy hit, Penikett has appeared on Dollhouse, Castle and Continuum, among other programs.

Supernatural Season 9, meanwhile, kicks off on October 9.

Ezekiel’ as “a dignified warrior angel injured in the Fall,” which refers to the scene of the angels falling from Heaven to Earth in last season’s finale episode.  No additional details are available at this time.
