Psychic medium Teresa Lisbon. Who knew? But that's what it came down to in The Mentalist Season 7 Episode 4 as Patrick Jane's illness kept him sidelined and stuck on his sofa. 

The investigation into stolen jewels had Cho and Lisbon going undercover as an engaged couple while a sniffling Jane was left behind. However Cho would later be paired with Vega, per Abbott's request and the rookie agent was over eager to win back Cho's trust. But as Cho pointed out, apologies are easy, earning someone's trust is more difficult. 

Agent Abbott had his own issues as his past in a task force that took down a cartel was called into question. Would it jeopardize wife Lena's appointment as Under Secretary to the Dept. of Commerce in Washington D.C. The entire affair had Abbott considering staying in Texas in order to give Lena her best chance at her dream job. 

Finally the killer was caught when Teresa took the stage as a psychic medium who could speak to the dead. Not only did she sway the crowd, with Jane's help but she also convinced the killer she was about to get called out by a dead man.
