The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4 Review: Kuwait

at .

Harold is a good man in every way possible.

He could have told the truth about Red on The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4, the real truth, but instead he told a different truth.

Red is Red no matter what his true identity.

Harold the Hero - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

Watching the relationship between Red and Harold is always a delight.

They have such a good dynamic and are such good friends, every interaction between them is memorable.

What's strange is that they've known each other for a long time, apparently, and even though Red isn't "Raymond Reddington," the two still have this bond.

It makes you wonder if the bond between them was always there or if it's something new.

Red is a Good Friend - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

When they served together, did they serve side by side? Or did were their interactions limited.

I ask because if Harold did know the real "Raymond Reddington," wouldn't he have noticed something different about this new Red when he first came into contact with him years ago?

The whole "who is Red" storyline is getting old. It's something I've mentioned before (perhaps even numerous times,) but it's becoming a distraction.

Talking about Daniel - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

At this point, I'm not sure I really care who Red is. We were fed this story on The Blacklist Season 6 that Red was Ilya, and now it doesn't appear that he is.

Or maybe he is. Who knows. It's confusing which is why this storyline needs to go away once and for all.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

The story of Daniel was interesting, but it seemed pointless.

What was the most interesting aspect of it was how it allowed Red and Harold to bond even deeper.

The Daniel story will probably come into play at some other point throughout the season, but it's unclear how at this point.

Meeting with Daniel - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

While Red was saving Harold, Liz was getting herself in deeper with Katarina.

It's still mindblowing how dumb Liz is in regards to that whole situation. And the fact that she hadn't asked Katarina or that Katarina didn't offer to be Liz's new nanny is odd.

There was no reason for Liz to hire this woman just so Katarina could manipulate the situation, but there must be a reason why it has to happen this way.

The whole conversation between Liz and Katarina about Katarina was one more nail in LIz's coffin of stupidity.

Why is she talking to this stranger about something so personal and dangerous? Why would she tell this stranger that Red had people watching her to protect her?

And why doesn't any of these guys Red has on Liz know that Katarina is "in the house?"

Maybe he didn't give anyone a picture of Katarina, but how can they protect Liz if they don't know who they're protecting Liz from?

And the fact that Liz still hasn't mentioned anything about this new neighbor is bothersome.

Liz tells everyone everything, but this is something she decides isn't important enough to share?

It makes me want to bang my head against the wall.

This Guy - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

It's still unclear what Katarina's motives are other than she wants to "get" Red, but why doesn't she follow Liz to work and take care of business?

Katarina snooping around Liz's place was no surprise. However, that picture she found in Liz's desk seems to be an important clue to something.

What it is is unclear, but it's possible Liz might think that's her mother.

Liz is never going to figure out who Katarina is no matter how much we might hope she does.

A Meeting - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

What will happen is that Red will find out Katarina is the neighbor either when he visits or when Liz decides to share information about her new neighbor.

Liz doesn't have the brainpower to put the clues together -- and I'm not beating up on Liz -- it is what it is.

And considering how everyone was so interested in Liz's new nanny, especially Ressler and Aram, it's odd no one is even asking about the nanny anymore.

It's also curious how Red has basically forgotten about Katarina. It's hard to believe after everything that happened in "Paris" and with Dom, that she wouldn't be at the forefront of his mind.

You'd think she'd be a priority because if she's in town, she still has to be around. That's the way Red thinks. Except, in this case, he doesn't seem to be thinking that way at all.

In the Middle - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 4

Even Dembe seems to have forgotten about Katarina and all the trouble she caused.

And let's not forget about Dom -- what happened to him? Why isn't Liz at least interesting in the status of her grandfather?

That's the bothersome thing about The Blacklist sometimes -- how some storylines are given a certain prominence and then dropped without nary a thought.

Over to you!

What did you think about "Kuwait"?

Do you think there was a point to the Daniel Hill story?

Are you tired of the "Who is Red?" storyline? (I might have asked this before.)

What do you think about Katarina and Liz?

Why is Katarina playing silly games?
