Meredith: We don't need dead mommy. We are going to be fine.
Lexie: Ok, so I let a crazy man escape and he fell down a flight of stairs.
Alex: Is it surgical?
Izzie: You can't do this. You can't treat me like I'm sick. My patients need to have faith in me. What are you doing?
Alex: Your wig, it was crooked.
Izzie: Ow!
Alex: Look, I'll stop hovering if you stop acting like an idiot. Your next pill's at 2 o'clock. You can't take it on an empty stomach.
Izzie: Ok.
Izzie: Ok, Mr Trinidad you shunt revision is pretty simple. It shouldn't take longer than an hour. But, I do need to go over the possible complications with you.
Alex: Dr Steven's, can I have a word.
Izzie: Ah, if you could just give me a minute here till I'm done Dr Karev.
Alex: I'm sorry, this will only take a minute.
Izzie: Excuse me.... What?
Alex: How are you holding up?
Izzie: Fine.
Alex: Did you take your meds this morning?
Izzie: Not yet but I will.
Alex: You're supposed to take them at 9.
Izzie: it's only a little after 9.
Alex: It's 10:15. Run down to her locker and get her meds. Are they in your purse?
Izzie: Yes, but you don't have to get them.
Alex: Yes you do.
Izzie: No you don't. Alex.
Alex: I swear to god if you don't go and get her pills right now, I'm gonna hurt you, and I'm gonna like it.
Bailey: Karev, I'm gonna need you to get Mr Crawley's wrist x-rayed while I get her up to MRI.
Karev: Why can't one of these fetuses baby sit? If that huge things a triple A I want in.
Lexie: I can do the wrist.
Bailey: Dr Karev has more experience.
Lexie: The patient is paranoid and hypervisulent. Which means he's bound to pick up on the fact that Dr Karev doesn't want to be here. He may interpret that as Dr Karev being out to get him. I aced my psych clerkship.
Meredith: You know we really should get some sleep before rounds.
Cristina: Sleep is for wimps. Sleep is for Mercy West residents. Lets ah, fit in another trauma before rounds.
Alex: Don't say anything about the wig.
Izzie: I'm back. Yes, I am early... but whatever. I'm back. And because I've been one so long, the first trauma that comes through those doors, it's mine. Got it?

Izzie: The wig.
Meredith: Yeah.

Izzie: I've always wanted to try out being a red head, so I just thought nows the time.

Izzie: It's peach fuzz chemo hair, and I really wanted to put my patients at ease. Make them feel comfortable.
Cristina: (whispers to Mer) She looks like a Stepford wife, you've gotta tell her.
Meredith: (smiling) She can't handle it. Just don't stare.
Derek: Karev, what do you have?
Alex: 16 year old, dirt bike victim. GCS 15 reported before intubation.
Derek: Ok, on my count. Ready? 1...2...3.
Alex: I'm gonna scrub in.
Derek: So, he announces the merger, then he shuts himself in his office all day and refuses to talk to anybody.
Mark: This merger won't affect us. It's just a financial restructuring.
Derek: What do you think restructuring is? Cutting personnel. Are you prepared to lose all the good people? I'm not. Hey, tell Hunt he's good to go. I'll write up a consult later. I have to talk to Richard right now.
Izzie: Oh Alex. What do you think? Looks real right? My mom sent it to me.
Alex: Ah, what are you doing here?

Alex: Iz, we talked about this. You're supposed to be taking another 3 weeks. Really resting up.
Izzie: I have to come back now before I don't have a job to come back to.
Alex: Iz.
Izzie: I have to show people that I'm not gonna die. Unless I sit alone in that trailer for one more minute. Then I am gonna die. I'm gonna die of boredom.
Alex: Look, Izzie.
Izzie: Seriously. Looks real right? I mean if you didn't know I have cancer, you couldn't know I have cancer. Right?
Alex: Sloan and Shepherd are scrubbing out of surgery in OR 2, grab them before they leave.
Olivia: Let me know if you hear anything about the merger. Nurses are always the last to know, first to go.
Alex: Oh, he's lost a huge chunk of flesh. I see down to his mandible. We'll need plastics and an ENT consult.
Owen: Left IV looks as if it's clotted off. I need 16 gauge in there.
All the interns: I'VE GOT IT!!!!
Owen: Woah woah woah, what's going on? It's 4 in the morning, is everyone on call?
Cristina: It's the merger. Everyones scared to go home.
Owen: I don't think the Chief meant that people couldn't sleep.
Cristina: It's hard to sleep when your jobs on the line.
Owen: One of you... get as much type specific blood as they'll let you have and meet us in surgery.
Lexie: ME! I GOT IT! I GOT IT! I GOT IT!
Alex: Is there some kind of time line on this. Or...
Doctor: Your wife is living with cancer Dr Karev. Right now, the cancer has stopped growing. With a cancer this aggressive, that's pretty stunning success. There's not time line. There's just... we watch it. We wait. We hope it doesn't start to grow again.
Izzie: That's it?
Doctor: That's it.
Izzie: Whatcha reading?
Alex: I have this patient I'm trying to diagnose. It's driving me nuts.
Izzie: So take a break, I miss you.
Alex: I'm right here.
Izzie: No you're not. You're here, but you're not here. And I miss you.
Alex: Iz, come on. I'm trying to work.
Izzie: I'm wishing for a brain tumor. I'm wishing all the time for a giant tumor that would just press down on my brain and make me hallucinate George. So that I could talk to him again, so I could laugh with him again. I miss him so much. I miss him all the time, and I just want to feel better. Even for a minute you know, I just want to be a person who isn't wishing for a brain tumor. Just for one minute. And, I can't drink because of the cancer meds, I don't do drugs, I can't even work right now. I don't have any distractions. I'm sad, and I miss George. So please, please, come inside and help me feel better.
Alex: "I miss George". Nice. Real seductive.
