• Francisco Pilar, a well known dog show judge and trainer is found murdered at a competition. The victim had been working with US Customs to train drug sniffing dogs while training on the side. 
• Pilar had been training Kay Cappuccio’s dog, a reality star based on Kim Kardashian. After discovering a camera in her dog’s collar, the detectives search for a link between the two. Kay’s boyfriend, Reggie, had gotten Kay to work with Pilar to find out information on him training drug sniffers. Reggie was tied up with an Argentinian Cartel and was looking to get rid of Pilar after discovering his side work.
• Hilarie Burton guest stars as Kay, Justin Hartley as her boyfriend.
• Castle and Beckett share custody of the victim’s dog.
