On date night, Homer tries to take Marge for ice skating, but the rink is closed for teams practicing for curling. Marge ends up amazing at the sport after a lifetime of sweeping, and soon she and Homer replace the Wiggums on the Skinners' team. After qualifying for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, they make it all the way to the finals when Marge ends up injuring her shoulder making up for a terrible throw by Homer. We learn Marge is actually left handed and was only using her right her whole life to appear normal. Marge swaps hands and they win the gold.
Lisa, meanwhile, becomes addicted to Olympic pins and ends up trading her signature pearls in for a pin. Bart runs into poor, crazy Lisa on the streets playing the saxophone for money, and rescues her from her addiction. Bart ends up making a fake mascot pin from Homer's license in order to trade back for Lisa's pearls.
