Tom Cavanagh to Star as Scientist Behind The Flash

Tom Cavanagh is on his way to Central City.
The veteran actor (Royal Pains, Trust Me, Scrubs) will appear on The Flash pilot as Harrison Wells, the scientist behind S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator and the man who ends up being responsible for turning Barry Allen into the world's fastest human.
By accident/explosion, that is.
A pariah around town for his role in the catastrophe, Wells starts on a path to redemption as a result of Allen's transformation.
Cavanagh, meanwhile, joins a cast that includes Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes, Daniele Panabaker, Rick Cosnett and Grant Gustin.
The latter appears on multiple episodes of Arrow Season 2, though The Flash will film its own pilot this spring in order to be considered for a spot on next year's CW schedule.
