Scorpion Season 4 Episode 7 Review: Go With the Flo(rence)

at .

Team Scorpion has a new neighbor, and she's kind of amazing.

On Scorpion Season 4 Episode 7, Florence moved next door to Team Scorpion's garage, and what do you know, she's a chemist. She's also played by the phenomenal Tina Majorino (anyone else fall in love with her as Mac on Veronica Mars?).

Florence is quite a bit like Team Scorpion was when Paige first met them on Scorpion Season 1 Episode 1. You know what this means? Paige has found a new genius to adopt!

New Neighbor - Scorpion

Florence is an interesting addition to the mix. She changes up Team Scorpion's daily lives in an unexpected way, and she's pretty darn funny.

Her stumbling upon Cabe and Toby's interrogation scene was hilarious. I would have tried to get out of my lease too if I were her.

Florence is a new dynamic to explore, and it will be intriguing to see how she gets along with everyone individually. Toby's already off to a rough start with her, what with him preventing her from leaving for a bit and everything.

Not only that, but Florence is an unusual way to glimpse how far Team Scorpion has come since they took over that diner. Let's face it: Team Scorpion would have probably handled the noisy neighbor situation similarly a couple of years ago.

I feel like they would have managed to hack all of their neighbors' devices and turned them off or held them hostage. What do you think?

Florence: I saw a freaky, terrifying man.
Toby: That's just Cabe.

I hope that Toby, Happy, Walter, and Sly maybe see a bit of themselves in Florence. She provides a way for the team to reflect on how far they've come, which is even more valuable and entertaining than all of us doing that for them.

What's your take on Florence? Does anyone else want to see her and Paige go out for coffee? Happy and Paige could use another female friend, and watching them, especially Happy, attempt to befriend Florence sounds amusing.

Any bets as to how long it will take before Team Scorpion needs Florence's help on a case?

Speaking of cases, this one is reasonably entertaining.

You know it's going to be a good time when Sly has to confront one of his fears...well a good time for everyone but him.

He would end up falling into a sewer with a rat. Seriously, no one else on the team would end up in that situation. There's not enough hand sanitizer in the world, Sylvester.

It's hard not to enjoy a case when the "atta boy" keychain makes an appearance. Happy putting a tracker on it is the sweetest thing because it shows how much she cares about Toby, and it also shows that Toby always has this keychain on him.

Jemma, on the other hand, was a bit of a miss. The "vibe" that Paige got off of her casts a weird light on all of Jemma's scenes. It makes her come across as annoying and immediately suspicious.

I am only going to say this once. There is not a chance in h-e-double wizard wands that I am ever going down into the sewer!

Sly

She became someone that was hard to like, which would have been fine if she wasn't in the majority of the hour. Did you like Jemma?

However, Jemma did inadvertently lead to some funny and cute Waige moments.

Walter struggling to understand what Paige wants from him was adorable and totally normal. This is something that most couples fight about. It's not a problem exclusive to couples made up of a genius and a normal person.

It's nice to see Waige struggle with something that has nothing to do with Walter's IQ level. Previously, it seems as if all their issues stemmed from the fact that Walter's a genius.

Walter: Are you mad I solved your problem?
Paige: Of course not. You trusted me.
Walter: I'm never going to figure this out.
Cabe: Welcome to women, son.

Walter's low EQ is nothing new, and it's something Walter and Paige have dealt with since they first met. So, it's great to see them tackle more of a normal couple's problem.

Walter really needs to start going to Cabe for advice. Cabe would be useful, and it would provide us with some quality Walter and Cabe scenes that we love so much. Don't you agree?

Meanwhile, Walter deemed himself qualified to dole out relationship advice to Ralph. Someone probably should have stopped him

Walter and Ralph's relationship has always been a highlight of the show. He connected to Ralph immediately, and since they first met, he's been doing his best to help Ralph however he can.

It's sweet seeing Walter take on more of a fatherly role by giving dating advice and suggesting to Paige that she let Ralph "experiment" with relationships and his feelings. Waige makes a pretty good parenting team, if you ask me.

Scorpion Season 4 Episode 7 Quotes

Walter: Now, Ralph, what a woman wants, really wants, is for you to listen, truly hear what is troubling her.
Happy: Not half bad advice.
Walter: And then you can quickly solve that problem for her and move on to something more interesting.
Happy: Back to normal.
