The Gargoyle King murdered Kurtz, Josie campaigned to her father to take her on tour, and Toni fell under the spell of The Farm on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 19.

Below, TV Fanatics Kat Pettibone, Becca Newton, and Brandon Vieira debate Elio trying to frame Archie for Randy's death, Hiram starting a new feud with Archie, and Evelyn's real relationship to Edgar.

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 19 marked Luke Perry's final episode on Riverdale before his death. How did his final scenes make you feel?

Kat: Whew, that was a tough one to sit through. I think Perry's last moments on screen were fitting for who he seemed to be as an individual.

Riverdale is a wild ride, and there aren't many grounded subtle moments. It seems like a stroke of luck (or fate) that Fred was the character who always provided those scenes.

Still, it's heartbreaking to think we won't see him on screen, Riverdale or otherwise, ever again. RIP Luke, you were a true gift.

Becca: Watching those scenes while knowing those were Luke Perry's final scenes was sad.

Luke Perry and Fred Andrews will be greatly missed. It was disappointing as well because Luke Perry had been underutilized since Riverdale Season 2, and now there won't be a chance to correct it.

Brandon: They were classic Fred Andrews. He's always been the level-headed parent on Riverdale who didn't get sucked into all the ridiculous drama the rest of them get into.

He offered his son some words of wisdom and it felt more poignant than ever. While it obviously would've been nice if Luke Perry's final scene was big and grandiose, these quiet moments that weren't' over the top symbolized Luke Perry's role on Riverdale. It was a great send off to a beloved TV icon.

Josie is leaving town to go on tour with her father. Are you happy with the way Riverdale said goodbye to the character?

Kat: Yes and no. Yes, in the way she said goodbye to Archie. With the "sneak peek" of her swan song being "Back to Black," and the subtle Veronica/Archie long stare during Riverdale Season 3 Episode 18, I was convinced they were going to send her off in an ugly love triangle kind of way.

I'm happy they put aside the "Varchie" drama for her last episode and let Josie have a sweet, innocent moment with Archie before she left.

That was perfect for their dynamic, even though I'm still confused about why the writers had him beg her for a serious relationship in the musical episode.

The rest left something to be desired. Loved hearing her sing one last time, and I totally understand why a character would want to get the hell out of Riverdale (super relatable).

I just wish she had said goodbye to her mother, Cheryl, and the Pussycats as well. For someone who has been labeled as a "main character" for three seasons, I would have enjoyed seeing more of the episode dedicated to her send off.

Becca: I wasn't happy. Going on tour was one thing, but sending Josie off on a tour with her dad made her leaving more bitter than sweet. I didn't like Josie's dad in his previous appearance, and this episode didn't change my opinion.

His secret test of character was unnecessarily cruel and doesn't give me hope he'll be a better father on the road.

Additionally, it was a bummer the only onscreen goodbye was to Archie. Cheryl and Kevin's current mental state would undercut the emotional impact of a goodbye, but it would have been nice to see more of an acknowledgment of the friendships Josie had with them, her mom, Veronica, and even Sweet Pea.

Brandon: It was the best she was going to get. Josie has always been on the low priority list for Riverdale.

Ashleigh Murray sang more than she ever acted on this show. At least with her role on Katy Keene, she might actually be able to explore her talents.

It was a bit unfortunate that she and Archie's romance ended so abruptly due to her leaving, but it's probably for the best as it was obvious to everyone, including Josie, that the two of them weren't endgame.

The plus side of her leaving with her dad is that it wraps up on of the few storylines she had on the show. Her issues with her father stem all the way to Riverdale Season 1, so it was nice to get her some closure with him.

Jughead, Gladys, and FP saved Jellybean from the clutches of The Gargoyle King. Did you ever think she could've been killed?

Kat: Of course not. Riverdale is a lot less edgy than they want you to think they are, and they were never going to murder a child.

Jellybean was always safe, which is why it didn't really heighten any of the stakes. It was a plot device to force Gladys into being honest with FP about her drug trade.

Becca: No. Elaborating on what I wrote for the previous round table, Riverdale wants us to think it's Game of Thrones (even before the Gryphons and Gargoyles plotline started), but there are limits as to how far Riverdale can emulate Game of Thrones. Murdering a character as young as Jellybean is a bridge too far.

Furthermore, Jellybean's death would overshadow everything else happening on Riverdale.

Betty and Archie have their own problems to deal with, but they just can't give their condolences to Jughead and then resume their respective storylines in the next scene.

Brandon: Never say never on Riverdale, but killing children on TV is always a slippery slope, and considering Riverdale isn't the type of show that always handles things gracefully, it was better off that they didn't go that route.

This will likely be a wake-up call for the Jones family who seem to think that they are invincible. FP's blindness when it comes to Gladys will also disappear, and her grip on her family will be cut.

Elio tried to frame Archie for Randy's accidental death in the ring. Were you frustrated that Elio evaded getting punished for the crime?

Kat: I care so little about this storyline I actually forgot this happened. I mean, yes? Elio is frustrating; he's like a mini Hiram Lodge.

I think the actor does a great job with the material he's given, I just don't think we need to add more layers to this already completely overdone and snooze-fest of an arc with boxing and Hiram vs. Archie Andrews.

Becca: It's frustrating to witness injustice, but I'm not worried about Elio forever evading punishment. His schemes have been defeated in this past, and they will be defeated in the future.

Archie and Veronica might bring him down, or Elio may discover getting in bed with Hiram was a bad decision.

Brandon: Riverdale rarely punishes its villains, so I wasn't surprised. However, I would love to see him locked away and never hear from him again because he's one of the most annoying characters Riverdale's produced, which is saying a lot.

The sooner Archie dispatches of him, the better.

Evelyn Evernever is actually Edgar's wife. React!

Kat: Out of all the reveals Riverdale has ever done, I have to admit this potentially shocked me the most. Did I have a suspicion Evelyn wasn't actually Edgar's daughter? Absolutely.

Did I think she was a 26-year old woman who is married to Edgar and has been traveling around schools for 10 years pretending to be an 11th grader so she can lure people into her creepy cult? DEFINITELY NOT!

It was surprising, but even more gratifying was how well it tracks. Her entire storyline feels very cohesive, as does most of The Farm plots. So, fingers crossed things stay that way.

Becca: I liked the reveal of Evelyn is Edgar's wife for many of the same reasons I liked finding out the Blossoms adopted Penelope to be Clifford's bride.

The twist was perfectly in keeping with the plot and what we know about the characters, in addition to upping the creepiness. It didn't come off as a twist done purely for the sake of shock value.

Brandon: Ew! Gross! Creepy! WTF is going on?

These were my emotions throughout "Fear the Reaper" when it came to The Farm. The Everynevers are so creepy, and the fact that Evelyn is actually 26 and married to a guy she was calling her father is so sick and weird.

The fact that that hasn't scared off any of the other Farm members is pretty terrifying. Betty might need to take drastic measures to defeat these Evernever weirdos or else the creepiness in Riverdale might get even worse if that's possible.

Hiram and Elio are secretly plotting to get revenge on Archie. Do you like that Riverdale is returning to the Archie vs. Hiram story or is it an exhausting retread?

Kat: Not to sound like a broken record, but this Hiram Lodge/Archie Andrews plot needs to die.

I know people enjoy the character of Hiram, but is there genuinely anyone out there who wants to see this feud continue? I can't comprehend how even one single fan would still want this at this point. They made amends, they called a truce.

There is so much other drama going on; we do not need to go back here! Especially if the writers are planning on moving forward with rekindling the Varchie romance! It will be the same thing all over again!

It also feels like the writers are trying to vilify Archie in some way like he was doing something awful by pointing a gun at Hiram. Like, the "real Archie Andrews" is some crazy bad guy.

That is the most ridiculous idea this show has come up with yet. Archie may be naive and make dumb decisions often, but he's definitely not the antagonist.

If that's an effort to make Hiram look more complex, it's not working. I'm tired.

Becca: It's an exhausting retread. Hiram's obsession with Archie is painful to watch, and one of the reasons why Hiram, despite destroying entire towns, can't come across as a credible villain.

Also, is Veronica back to being a supporting character while Archie and Hiram battle it out?

Riverdale does a poor job of telling Veronica vs. Hiram stories, but it doesn't tell Archie vs. Hiram stories well either. It's too late to resuscitate feuding with Hiram storylines, but Veronica should be the primary character opposing Hiram ... not Archie.

Brandon: Everything about the Lodges right now is exhausting. Hiram, Veronica, and Hermione have been telling the same story for two seasons now. I don't think anyone cares anymore.

Hiram needs to move on from this strange obsession with Archie.

We get it, Hiram. He has more abs than you; no need to hold a grudge. I don't want to see these two characters interact at all on Riverdale Season 4.

So, if they could squash their differences one way or another by the Riverdale Season 3 finale, that would be lovely.
