Jughead accuses Mr. Fieldstone of plagiarizing stories from other people. Jughead has proof that one story was stolen; the editor slyly admits to stealing stories.

Uncle Frank has a heart-to-heart with Archie about his recent behavior. Frank pushes Archie to apologize to his mother Mary for any stress he'd caused. Frank wants Archie to chat with Principal Featherhead.

Betty notices Archie coming out of the shower and she's focused on his wet body.

Betty asks Veronica about sex. Veronica admits that she's still a virgin and hasn't gone all the way with someone yet. Veronica tells her that she doesn't need to have sex to be sexy. Veronica gives Betty advice, including wearing sexy lingerie. Veronica invites Betty over to try new lingerie.

Cheryl gives Toni back the book after finishing reading it. Toni asks Cheryl to grab a coffee, but Cheryl says she's too busy relaunching the River Vixens. She says Toni would never be caught dead being a River Vixen.

Archie apologizes to the principal. Principal Featherhead wants to have a private chat with Frank.

Toni enters the gym to try out for the River Vixens. Cheryl is blown away and fixated by Toni's sexy cheer movements. Cheryl lashes out at Evelyn.

Uncle Frank has been hired as the new basketball coach. Archie doesn't want to be on the team; he wants to focus on his studies instead. Frank says he'll be a waterboy if he doesn't play.

Uncle Frank takes Archie's car away. He says he'll get it back after graduation; he forces Archie to be a waterboy.

Betty decides not to wear her lingerie to school. Veronica wants to be her wing-woman and find her a new guy; Betty wants to be with Archie. Veronica pushes her to ask Archie out.

Betty asks Archie out to the movies. He says he wants to, but Frank has tasked him with too many things; he wants to do it on another day. Veronica decides she and Betty should go on a double date with some boys from Stonewall Prep.

Evelyn sneaks into the locker room to go through Toni's stuff. She finds the book and accuses her, but Toni defends herself and demands to know what  Cheryl said about her.

Mr. Rayberry visits Pep Comics about his stories being stolen. Jughead helps them negotiate a deal so that Mr. Rayberry is properly compensated.

Jughead has dinner with Mr. Rayberry and tells him that his dad is somewhere in Toledo. He hasn't seen his dad since a big robbery in town. Mr. Rayberry tells Jughead he should write a short story about that; he agrees to read Jughead's first draft.

Frank forces a job on Archie to pump gas at Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe.

Ben and Dilton Doiley love Jughead's new stories.

Toni confronts Cheryl in the bathroom about what she said to Evelyn. Toni says she's done with Cheryl, but Cheryl admits she likes girls too and is attracted to Toni.

Jughead visits Mr. Rayberry to read his story and discovers a manuscript in one of his cases. He hides it in his bag.

Toni tells Cheryl the truth about Kevin and Clay. Cheryl tells her the truth about her Aunt Carol and when she started liking girls. Toni tells her when her parents kicked her out of the house for kissing a girl when she was 13 years old. Cheryl is ready for something new in dating.

Julian has Archie give his car gas and air in the tires. Meanwhile, Betty is bored during her double date with Veronica. Archie tells Pop that he loved playing basketball until his father went out to the war.

Jughead loves the novel hiding in Mr. Rayberry's case.

Betty is moping about not being with Archie. Veronica has an idea for Betty and Archie to talk at night while their parents are asleep. Betty reveals Archie doesn't have a phone and that her window looks right into Archie's room. Veronica wants to see the proof for herself.

Julian mocks Archie and says he's ready to break his father's record. Julian and Archie fight; Mary wants to chat with Principal Featherhead.

Cheryl tells the River Vixens that Toni will be at the top of the pyramid. After Evelyn reacts against it, she cowers and agrees to the news.

Mary has a heart-to-heart with Archie. Archie tells the truth about why he doesn't like playing basketball again (i.e., his dad's memory, and his worrying about not being good enough). Mary comforts him and wants him to play; she also says she'll talk down Frank.

Jughead tells Mr. Rayberry that he loved his novel. Mr. Rayberry kicks Jughead out of the apartment.

Cheryl and Toni kiss for the first time.

Betty and Veronica see Archie changing in his room. Archie closes his curtains after nearly catching Veronica and Betty.

Archie talks with Betty privately; he liked that she was looking at him. They both plan to have late-night stares at each other.

Archie decides he wants to be on the basketball team. He gets a spot after sinking a basket.

Mrs. Thorton reveals that Jughead is the new writer of the comics. Dr. Werthers isn't happy.

At midnight, Betty and Archie get undressed for each other from their windows. Before they get completely naked, their parents bust into the room and stop them.
