Recap

Darlene can’t wait to tell her family that she and Ben are getting married, but Neville proposes to Jackie before she can, and Jackie accepts. Then Aldo proposes to Harris, and she accepts. They decide to have a double wedding in two weeks so that Bev won’t find out and try to come to the wedding. Ben and Darlene decide not to share their news.

Dan suggests that Darlene try to break up Harris and Aldo once again since their marriage is clearly a mistake. But Darlene says she’s tried that twice, and it blew up in her face. She’d rather Harris make a mistake and still be talking to her than not.

Louise and Becky try to convince Harris not to get married so young, but Harris is having none of it. Then Becky learns that Aldo wants to have a baby with Harris as soon as they get married, but he hasn’t discussed it with Harris. Becky tells Aldo he has to share that with Harris before the wedding. Harris is taken aback by Aldo’s plan but still moves forward with the wedding plans.

Darlene fears if the family learns that she and Ben are engaged, they will try to make it a triple wedding, and she doesn’t want to be a part of that circus. So she and Ben decide to go away for the weekend and elope.

Dan catches Darlene and Ben trying to leave to elope and guilts them into staying and getting married with the family present, along with Jackie and Neville, and Harris and Aldo.

The wedding planning gets a little crazy. Aldo wants a tiger. Jackie suggests the brides cover themselves in butterflies.

Neville tells Dan that he’s thinking of inviting Bev despite Jackie’s wish not to have her mother present. Neville thinks that he can help heal the wounds between Jackie and Bev. Dan says that isn’t a wound, it’s a dead foot, and it needs to be cut off. Neville isn’t convinced.

The Conners Season 4 Episode 19 Quotes

Aldo: Neville just made the biggest commitment a man can make. I want to make that commitment to you. Will you take me for better or worse, 'til death do us spark?
Harris: Do us spark? No, it’s do us part. It’s 'til death do us part.
Aldo: Holy crap! That is so extreme. I love that. Will you marry me 'til the grim reaper nails one of us?
Harris: Yes!

Ben: We have to tell them. We won’t get our presents unless we do.
Darlene: You’re looking forward to presents from my family. What is it that you still need from the Dollar Store?
