Barry, Cisco and Caitlin are in Gideon's room. Cisco digs the sharper red suit, Caitlin notices the byline by Iris West-Allen. When Cisco says Mosoltov, Gideon starts chatting. She knows Barry Allen. Director of Central City Police, CSI Division. He interrupts before she tells him who he is the founding member of...in addition to The Flash.
She tells him he came her to kill him. Flat out.
Cisco knows Wells in the building because he put a tracker on his chair. Why did Wells kill Nora? Because he was angry that Barry escaped. Barry learns he created Gideon. That's exciting.
As if having one secret from Iris wasn't enough for Barry.
Eddie asks Joe's permission to wed Iris and he says no.
The group convenes and Barry tells them all that he changed time once already and has another really bad idea. That makes Joe flash back to the time Barry was in the hospital after the particle accelerator explosion, when Harrison came to him.
Caitlin creates a pair of googles to objectively enter their dreams and in walks Wells, who may or may not be onto them. He does give her the correct hertz to tap into the brain, however.
Eddie wants Barry to talk to Joe to find out why he's not on board with the proposal.
The gang is in Barry's lab and the put Cisco under with the glasses. He starts to relive the day, beginning with sending Caitlin to Jitters with Wells. He realizes the man was just a hologram. Cisco sees Harrison and relives his murder.
Barry realizes his mother's murder was his fault and then Harrison calls. There's a fire at Capt. Singh's building. Harrison talks him through saving everyone. Barry then casually walks out the front door. WTF?
Harrison gives Barry a pep talk about having everything he needs to do anything he can ever do. It makes Barry kind of like him a bit, and he's surprised that Joe never liked him. Joe wishes he had never trusted Joe, but Barry tries to get Joe to realize it was already too late by then. He had already hurt them and it was just the middle of it all.
Joe doesn't want Iris to marry Eddie because she has feelings for Barry even if she doesn't know about them. He doesn't want her to wake up one day and realize it's too late or to stay in a marriage just because she made a promise.
Iris sends a 911 text to Barry. She has a file full of evidence pointing to the night of the particle accelerator explosion being the beginning of all things metahuman. He reminds her he has no powers. She remembers when he was at STAR Labs convalescing and she touched him. He electrocuted her.
Wells comes back from his conference and Caitlin sets the trap into play. Wells takes the bait and walks into the bunker. It starts to play out just as it did in Cisco's memory and the first time line. Through a series of events, Harrison gets shot. But it's not Harrison. It's Hannibal Bates.
Harrison tells everyone how much he grew to enjoy working with them all and and that they will meet again.
Barry sees the time room and the video feed inside it. Harrison has been one step ahead all along. Gideon appears to be gone.
Eddie and Iris are out for a stroll. He begins to propose. The Reverse Flash gets Eddie and The Flash tells Iris he'll take care of things, touching her before he goes, with the same flashy strike from when Barry was sick. Iris knows.
Eddie and Eobard get to know each other. Eddie wonders if it's all about him, but Eobard says he's merely his insurance policy. I'm not sure I understand that. Eobard recalls chatting with an incapacitated Barry, telling him watching him grow up as an innocent child has been interesting, sure, but it hasn't changed him from wanted to destroy the man he knows he will become, so there will be a reckoning.
