I don't believe it's Mona. She was just acting on someone's behest. Is it me or do other people on this forum also believe that Allison Di Laurentis is in reality not dead? I think she is alive and she is A, based on the fact that there have been so many instances in this season when it seemed like Allison was out there somewhere, and then of course, every trail the girls attempt to follow, goes cold too. Allison was pretty capable of so much malice and foul play, although to what end she would be doing all this i have no clue (if she is alive and she is A, that is). As for Melissa, she is just another stooge.

What's all the talk about Allison having a twin?! I've watched every episode and don't remember there ever being anything said about a twin sister! Although this would certainly explain a lot of things. Did I bat my eyes too long and miss this reveal in a former episode? It's obvious to me that "A" is a group of people and of course there had to be another murder/mystery for the show to continue. Looking forward to season 3!

I think A is a bunch of people who Ali pissed off and they are all paying her and her friends back..or its Ali herself playing a game and her twin was the one killed...just a thought!

In Season 2 Episode 10 - Touched By An Angel, Mona and Hanna go horse riding and shopping while Emily is getting a massage by A. Obviously Mona isnt the only A.

Mona is not the real A, there's a group of them working together. But she is actually pyscho. I dont think Melissa was the black swan, because at the scene where Maya died she didn't look like she just came from a party, and that scene happened right after the party. Hm i dont know. But i think Melissa had something to do with Maya's death, she looked very suss!
I'm pretty sure Alison or her twin sister Courtney is still alive, and that they she was the girl that visited Mona in jail. Did anyone relize that at the party when Mona was talking to Hanna, there was a girl in the background in a redish pink dress walking towards them? the camera was focused on her partly, but it was hard to relize.
This show is such a mindfuck. It has way to many questions by the viewers that need to be answered. I cant wait until season 3 though!

Why are people CRAZY MAD about Mona being revealed? Come on, it's obvious it's not just her! The producers can't just be like 'BAM this is A' and tell you everything about everyone because they wouldn't have a show anymore!

I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. OMG MONA IS DEFINITELY NOT A, PROLLY A PAWN. EVEN IF SHE IS, SHE'S NOT THE ONLY ONE. I THOUGHT THEY WEREN'T FOLLOWING THE BOOKS? SO DISAPPOINTED THAT IT WAS MONA.
I think the person who visited Mona was Vivian Darkbloom. I mean hello? The red coat. Any more obvious can it get? Or maybe Ali's twin? Idk. Could be Melissa.

what an utterly crappy episode! the Mona reveal was lame lame lame!!!! my favorite part of the episode was when Spencer complimented Mona at the dance and then revealed her memory of the last time she saw Spencer. the hotel stuff was great too. so was Ezria's public kiss. so was Melissa acting psycho. I bet she's the swan. and that belly is fake. I bet Melissa faked loving Ian again so she could get married to him and fake getting pregnant then killed him off so she could maintain the fake pregnancy unsuspected. I was so hoping A was Aria!!!!!!! it made so much sense in my mind!!! to be honest, I'm mad at Hannah. she had been a really crappy friend to Mona for a long time now. though I didn't like Mona at first, she is in my good graces now knowing she's being used by A. I feel like this episode accomplished nothing. We're back to square one. We have no idea who A is and a victim with answers is beyond the liars' reach. lame. and disappointing. after watching the episode there is absolutely no way that mona is a. helper or a decoy maybe. the scene with spencer at the motel room seemed forced and calculated like she rehearsed it a lot of times. the black swan looked like melissa unless she's faking her pregnancy. and i cant help feeling mona's visitor was melissa because i recall in a earlier episodes of the season she (melissa) had on a red coat in various instances.

I think maybe Courtney DiLaurentis does exist in the show (just as she does in the books) and Alison killed her, but everyone thinks that Alison is dead when in fact she's hiding from whoever is the A team because they do know of the existence of the crazy twin; at least that would explain the dream that Spencer had last week with Ali... The red clothes in the end, seriously? & Toby and Ezra, there's something in their behavior last night that I just don't trust. oh God I hate to think bad of people who have seemed nice by now.

Its pretty obvious that Mona is not A, she was just a replacement (temporary replacement). There's ALOT of unanswered questions, like how she was able to send most of the messages when she was with Hanna when she got them. She was covering for the Real A, and I think it was either black swan or the visitor at the end in the RED coat!!!

What a disappointment...I really wish PLL had thrown in a curve ball and made A be someone we never suspected: Ezra, Holden, Jenna, Melissa - heck even if Alison turned out to be not dead and was actually A, I wouldn't have mind. Then there was PLL going all movie fanatic with Psycho and Black Swan. The homage to Psycho was handled well, however I bet not many of the viewers got that - meaning those who have never seen or know what Psycho is (trust me, these people exist and are probably googling it now). Even though they revealed A, I too felt that they kind of took it back when they had that last scene with Mona talking to the mysterious person in red. Seriously, with all the build up I wish there had been more shock and surprise. Here's hoping season 3 will make up for it.

well,well,well,..look who is A and guess who got killed.not surprised mona is part A,definitely not shocked maya got killed...i mean the writers did character assassination for maya.. s1 maya was totally diff from s2..
I hope maya wasnt killed for paige cos it wud really fuck up paige/emily if they ever bcome a couple..with that said,dnt like maya/paige/samara..i hope they don't do what they did to shay/emily thru out s2 in s3,bcos that wud really b annoyin..hope they dont put her in a relationship when s3 starts,give her somtime to grief a bit and mayb have her do "no string attached" pple use sex to easy pain somtimes..emily needs to be a bit crazy/reckless shes too reserved and falls in love quickly...i wanna see crazy emily and bsides shay wud have more things to work on.

What a complete mess that was! Honestly nothing about it made sense and no I haven't read the books, but seriously Mona?? Like what most of the posters are saying...she was friends with Hannah when Aria received her first text; the girls weren't close again and the only reason they grew together in the first place was due to A! And I love me some Ezra, but very unrealistic. Him "stepping up" and kissing Aria in public is REALLY not that big of a deal if there are no consequences. There are tons of people at the dance and NO ONE was shocked by it??? Now there is an A team? Well, of course!!! Who can be in 20 places at one time? No answers-not who is really behind A, who killed Alli, and now who killed Maya.

So unimpressed with the season finale. The whole masked ball/hotel things were great, but the actual "reveals" and/or "shocking material" was hyped up WAY too much. The cast may not have thought they were lying when they said "A" was not like in the books, but it was still very misleading. It was essentially like they thought too many people had picked up on Mona and they wanted people to forget it before the finale. It clearly didn't work, as they was hardly anything shocking in the whole episode. Except maybe Toby randomly knowing Dr. Sullivan somehow and pretending not to love Spencer. WHY did he have to pretend that? That whole bit was too randomly thrown together and not congruent with any of the rest of the story.

Figured it out in the beginning that Mona was in on it, but also that it is several A's. Have a guess who the big boss is too. a little disappointing and confusing episode actually.

I have read the book series so I will not reveal who A is. I think that the mystery is the key thing here. I will say this however, A is first and foremost a group of people. There is one true A though. The big reveal will not happen until the show comes to an end or they reach the last book. Either way, the wait will be worth it.
As for Mona, not that shocking. She has always been on the radar for a lot of people. Not surprising that they picked her as the first "A" to reveal. But folks, A is never done, and the "black swan" will be revealed. Trust me.

In episode 2x10 Touched by an angel... when Emily is getting her massage and it turns out to be A, isn't Mona with Hanna trying on dresses/horse back riding???
I am not sure if I remember correctly but if it is right, then that clearly means there is another A or whatever.

What happened to the whole N.A.T group with Garrett, Ian, Jason and all? I thought that was to play in somehow with who A was, considering all 3 had been suspects. Perhaps Dr. Sullivan's son was Noel? Because he was meant to be a main contender for A, and wasn't even in the episode.
Although I liked the episode, I had also read that interview with Lucy Hale, and the many others, where the cast and crew said that in the books it was Mona, but the show was going to be different. Even if Mona is working for/with someone else, they should have said who it was, as, even though people will say that would end the mystery, the producers had said that they wanted to end the A mystery to give the fans some piece of mind.
Also, Mona's motive was fairly stupid. Had she not always been A, it would have made more sense, but if we were to believe she was A since the Pilot, its stupid, because Hannah had only briefly spoken to Spencer by the time Aria got the first A text.

Okay- why is everyone so upset Mona is A? Would you rather it have been Jenna? That would have been blatantly obvious. People wanted a huge shocker- but how would that be completely possible? There would be gaps in the story and unexplained occurences. I thought this episode was fantastic- I am especially glad Spoby is back together!!

I know there are people on here who don't understand why people are mad about mona being A just because she was A in the books....I don't think that is why people are mad. At least me personally I am mad because it was specifically said that A would not be the same person as in the book. Lying in order to keep it a mystery is just poor handling of the issue. If they had've never said that it wasn't going to be the same person I would have assumed it was Mona because a lot of signs pointed to her and I would have been less excited to find out who A is and been willing to just focus on other aspects of the show. Instead I let myself get really excited to find out who it was going to end up being and finding out why and now it was just a let down.

Didn't the girls split up after Ali died and became friends again after they found her body? If that was the case, Mona's story doesn't line up because they got there first text from A at her funeral.
And wasn't Tony mad at Spencer for messing around with the doctor? He just let that go all Willy nilly?
It was way too cheesy how it was developed. I was extremely upset.
My biggest problem was I signed on to the PLL facebook page and ignorant people who read the books would just randomly post it on there to ruin the surprise. If you're reading this, thanks guys.
For the sake of surprise, I hope they can change it up a little more.

This was the most anticlimatic ending ever..I've read the books, so of course I knew Mona was the first A, but they said they didn't follow the books, but at the same time really heavily implied that Mona was A, which I thought was to throw us off...Not happy about the ending at all..I wanted to be shocked! :P I would have preferred Ezra to be A, to be honest!
