@Zoran, sorry, I wasn't clear on your reasoning before.
I still don't think Dan will propose (like someone else said, those were cufflinks Rufus was talking about, not a ring). But I agree with you that I don't think Chuck will either. I think he might just give the ring back to Blair because it's hers, and he wants her to have it even though they're not together. And then Blair will show up to find him at the end, and she'll be wearing it. Or she'll give it back to him and say "when you ask me again, I'll say yes." That would be a nice way for the "say yes" to come back, and we'd still get to see a real proposal later. Also a nice parallel to when she returned it in 4x02.
I do think Blair has to take the initiative, Chuck obviously has no reason to believe she would accept a proposal right now.
But in terms of Blair choosing "alone"? I don't think that's a real possibility, because Safran has explicitly said the triangle will come to and end in the finale. Blair choosing he

@Zoran -- that is not a ring, those are cufflinks. Rufus specifically said "I wore THEM in my wedding." Ring is not a plural, so clearly they are cufflinks for a suit.
No matter, CHAIR for the win! Although, unlike many Chair fans, I have enjoyed the progression of seeing Blair and Dan, even if they do bore me sometimes. Just hoping for a Chair reunion in season 6!

I am a big fan of Serena and Dan. I want to be Chuck and Blair together, because that would make Dan back to Serena. But I think that reconciliation Chuck and Blair will not happen at the end of this season. I think Blair will now choose no one. I'm on your side! Perhaps we do not understand?

Like most here, and I'm just guessing, but I accept information already released about episodes. As for the ring, to me it makes no sense to Chuck now propose to Blair, he has more important business (father / mother). But Dan, remember the 100th episode. Today I wrote about it. Proceeding on the wedding Dan put in his pocket a box with a ring that was bought Rufus for Lily (this is the first ring). Rufus sees him and comes to the conversation between the two. Rufus convince him that it was not time for him give Blair a ring, when she already marries another ... The rest is known. So, that Dan already had the intention to propose to Blair. In the next two episodes Dan will find on to be tempted when Blair spent much time with Chuck and the rest of NJBC. He thinks he is starting to lose her, or Blair returns to Chuck. And the only way for him is to propose her. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it makes more sense that Chuck and Blair ar
I want Chuck and Blair to get back together, but I'm not sure that I want them to get engaged yet. I mean Blair has been deluding herself into believing that she is in love with Dan, so I don't want her to just turn around now, so quickly, and accept Chuck's proposal ( if he proposes). I would prefer her to take some time to reflect and to get Dan completely out of her system. I don't want her confused or conflicted in any way when she chooses Chuck ( which she will do eventually). I want her whole heart to belong to him. No part of it should belong to another man.

Dair fans you're all delusional. Chuck is not abusive and he was not going to rape Blair. if you've ever been in a relationship you know sometimes tensions are high. He was on the brink of an emotional breakdown and he punched out a window. Ive seen multiple of my guy friends punch out Windows when they're drunk. its just a little violent thing a lot of guys Do... moving on... Chuck and Blair are endgame. everyone has always known that. im fully confident that anyone who has seen seasons 1&2 want chair... maybe Blair and nate... together. Definitely not dair. Dan and Blair want different things in life and their boring and sickening to watch. Dan is Blair's little bitch so shes keeping him around because shes currently too emotionally exhausted to deal with a true emotional relationship. She hasnt even told him she loves him... because she doesn't. Chuck is going to win her back and I cant wait to watch it happen.

Actually, there are spoilers from a fairly credible source who was on the set that Chuck's ring will reappear in the finale, so... yeah, it obviously has to do with Chuck. As far as Dan proposing to Blair, that's so far-fetched it's laughable. They've been together what, two months? She hasn't even said she loves him. Dan proposing would be a suicide mission (which actually might be kind of funny to watch, haha)
Anyway, I can't imagine the ring coming back just so Chuck can let her go for the billionth time or Blair can reject him again. There's really only one reason for it to make an appearance.
this season (although I liked him as a bad boy and I don't think he can stay good because he and Blair are people from the "dark" side)

Actually that "rapist - abuser" thing is such a crap. Everyone knows that he never meant to hurt Blair, he was just so upset and miserable with all his mom issues in season 4, and before that when his dad was never there for him in season 1, to season 2 when Bart died and Chuck became an orphan at the age of 18. And then, when everything was a complete mess around him with his evil uncle trying to take his money all the time, the love of his life chooses to marry another man... it's really over-the-top. Not that what he did in "The Princesses and the frog" was right. Of course it wasn't. But he didn't mean to hit, rape or hurt Blair. He was just out of his mind from all the pain he was suffering.
And after all, Blair forgave him. So please Dair fans, stop accusing him being like the worst person in the world. Cause actually he's the only man that's been loving Blair over the whole show, cause let's say it, she's a complete pain in the ass. Chuck's become a really good person this sea

People stop talking nonsense, act like kids in high school. Chuck has nothing to do with the ring he is preoccupied with discovering who his real father / mother was. If he had to do with the ring that will be only in season 6! In the episode RETURN OF THE RING action will take place around the break between Dan and Blair! Dan will propose to Blair, he is afraid that he begins to lose her, and that's the only way to keep her. First Blair will reject the offer, because she almost got divorced and does not want so soon to remarry. Dan will get angry and disappointed at her will go to Rome for the prestigious fellowship, which he was previously rejected because of Blair. When Dan went to the airport, Blair changed her mind and ran after him, but was too late for the plane flew. I think that the end of the season 5 look like the end of season 3, when Serena went to Paris, and Dan wanted to go for her but it appeared pregnant Georgina.

im sure a lot of attempted rapists currently in prison are sorry as well. doesn't make it right.
and the show is focusing on the teens and not the parents. all the promotion is on the teens. so rufus and lily would have no storys more if they are not more together. so much is sure. and so the sings for the reunion is good for rufly! they are the mainparents!
that is bullshit seriously. there are already signs that rufus really wanna make up with lily. and lily must meet a decision. its not so that rufus makes this decision. she is this person which makes a decision. and after everything i did hear is, that she is choosing rufus! and END!

We Chair fans have forgiven him after being hugely let down, so I can't see why you should keep repeating these things over and over again. It's just annoying, so stop it, because this makes you look like very immature...just saying...

Mmm... I really don't know what to think...
My perfect ending of the season would be a Chair reunion, where Blair will finally take the risk of being Chuck, showing she is matured. I'm really hopeful about that casino scene, but if there will be a cliffhanger, than I just want Blair not to choose anyone and find herself again. I really can't stand Dair any longer. I mean, I tolerate only because it will help Blair realise that she's screwed up and that Chuck is the only man of her life. I don't know, I guess I can spend hours assuming how everything will end, but there may be the chance that all my expectations will be disappointed, so I won't get my hopes up too much.

I say the ring hasn't nothing to do with Chair. How often have the titles revealed anything related to the storyline?
I'm still going with The ring being Lily and Rufus or something. Correct me if I'm wrong but like five weeks ago or so Blair told Chuck he no lOnger has her heart and ignore him few weeks. So I'm finding it hard to believe in the next what three eps they will reunite? Get married?! No way maybe Blair will realize Chuck needs her and she needs him so they agree to be friends and Dan walks in on what he thinks chair on again and Blair will admit she lOves Dan and not chuck in the end. Rufus will divorce lily and maybe chuck will back it up wit Lily and get married Jk
