I couldn't imagine NCIS without these characters, but I hope they continue to develop SLs that move these characters forward with their lives. It always feels like Tony never gets to grow up, and a Tiva relationship is against Rule 12
Have Mark Harmon signed a new contract for the next season?

At last I can breathe again and stop chewing my fingernails down to the quick.Please scriptwriters don't become complacent about how good this show is.You have a fantastically talented group of actors in NCIS and equally talented writers,working together this next series could be awesome!So,no resting on laurels,anyone.Good strong story-lines for all giving deeper insights into the characters "being."Good Luck everyone and safe harbour at the end of the voyage.Love.
ziva had to change she couldnt continue to be an assasin and grow on the show and as for tony his charater likes to hide behind a care free person but if you pay attention to the show uit is harder for him to maintain that im sure we will see more of that. it peeks out there some tmes.

@Michael, you're very extreme. Against Ziva, got it. I've read all the comments on NCIS. Honestly unless they can spin it differently, it would change the show. Several episodes would have the underlying current, if Gibbs finds out....
Abby wears collars. The new found fame of "The 50 Shades of Grey" may have the writers delving into Abby's private darkside. Especially if Tiva happens and ratings drop, just a thought.

I like the fact that they all signed the contract. This is a great show I can't wait to see what happens I hope Ducky lives. Ziva & Tony Need to stop playing & hook up ^_^. Good luck to the entire cast of NCIS.

At Lorraine - in my opinion nothing excuses knocking an injured person to the ground and shoving a gun into his chest, then trying to get him fired, but for some it's okay. I wonder if Ziva killed someone in self defense and their lover did those things to her if her fans would think it was excusable want her to share a romance with her abuser. Mood swings sure - violent anger no. JMO

They haven't mentioned Duckie yet and when it ended he collapsed on the beach, (looks like a heart attack) hope they find him in time, it wouldn't be the same without Duckie

Glad everyone is coming back, love them all, tony, ziva, abby mcghee, vance, jimmy, duck and gibbs they all work together as a team and work well with all the different personalities that make it great to watch

The reason I want Tony to leave NCIS is because I want him on NCIS LA its time he has his own team and his own mission beside Both the NCIS fan and Tiva fan will then get what they want.
We NCIS fans get Tony back and Tiva fans will get what the want and that Ziva all the time

Of course they were going to re-sign contracts. They are part of the number one tv show and its not like they have many other offers.
@ Michael, If you are referring to Ziva's behaviour after Michael Rivkin died I think it is understandable as her boyfriend was killed, you don't accuse people at a funeral of having mood swings or do you??

I like Gibbs, but I enjoyed him much more when the writers didn't try to give him constant personal drama. Same with Ziva really. I liked the show better when the cases were well written and importance and little mysteries about team members unfolded subtly within the context of the case.

I agree with Lexi. Everybody knows what happens when two TV characters hookup. The ratings go downhill. Besides even though I like Tony and Ziva I don't like the idea of them together. I think Ziva should go with Damon Werth and (here's a strange idea) Tony should go with Leyla. And to Michael, nobody can be forced to do anything they don't want t. Everyone wants to be there. If you watch behind the scenes on the DVDs then you will hear everybody say it. And I still think they all signed a while back and waited til the last moment to release the news to amp up the suspens. Nothing stupid about that.

Wihtout Gibbs this show doesn't exist! This whole show was built around Gibbs' character. As long as Mark Harmon stays on this show it will thrive - without him, they are looking for a show to fill this time slot. Gibbs rules!!!!!

It would be nice if the writers would let Tony grow up (at least a LITTLE bit) and quit with the Tiva crap. I think they have used the illusion of sexual tension between Tony & Ziva to establish her character and place in the show. In answer to the poster complaining about Gibbs--the show was and still is built around Gibbs and the interaction of his team, whoever they may be. It survived the casting changes/departures of several primary characters and hardly skipped a beat. IF--and that can be a real BIG word-- the writers don't get terminally stupid, it will be #1 for a long time.

Agree Lexi - the writers have really let Tony down. I really hope that this season they'll stop sacrificing his character in order to flatter others. MW is such a versatile actor, capable of amazing subtle dramatic portrayal. He's so much more than the punchline and butt of the joke. TPTB need to suck it up and utilize his gifts rather than squandering it so the same two actors are fanwanked and flattered. I can't fathom why Gibbs and Ziva seem to be the only two considered to be worthy of serious treatment. But this agenda has really limited the show. I have found myself quite bored with a great deal of the last 3 seasons because of the predictable lack of variety.
Abby: I knew that guy was trouble. He's like an evil McGee.
