• A man is sliced down the middle from a sword by a vigilante claiming to be superhero “Lone Vengeance.”
• Castle’s knowledge of comics helps the team track down who the killer is. From a nerdy wannabe to a crime journalist to an officer of the law, back to a fellow criminal, Castle and Beckett look through leads to find Tony the Butcher. He wanted the victim and the Lone Vengeance out of his way for ratting him out and stopping his criminal activities.
• Alexis tells Castle she is heading off to Stanford in the spring to start college early. Of course this is where Ashley goes. 
• Martha remained useless.
