Lily goes into labor on part one of the How I Met Your Mother season finale. Barney promises Marshall he will get him to the hospital in time, but at a steep price. Meanwhile Ted and Robin are left to take Lily's mind off her labor pains. They tell her a host of stories chronicling some of their most memorable moments as friends. Lily's dad rushes to his daughter's side, but she has him removed by security as she recalls a bad childhood memory. Marshall makes it just in time to see the birth of his son whose middle name is chosen by Barney.
