As Garrett's trial gets underway, Emily decides to leave town with Nate to escape the press. Meanwhile, the girls and Paige get a text telling them to meet at the cemetery at 10pm or Emily will be hurt. The liars prepare for their meeting, bringing Maya's bag and Caleb (who's got a gun for protection). Mona escapes from Radley dressed as a nurse and meets up with the second A to cement their plans. Emily gets a warning call in the cabin she's staying in with Nate before soon discovering that Nate was actually Maya's boyfriend at True North. He reveals his real name - Linden James - and swears to kill Paige (whom he kidnapped and brought to the cabin) as revenge for Emily taking Maya away from him. When he's briefly distracted, Emily runs to try and get a signal on her phone and call for help. She makes it to a lighthouse where she manages to fight off Nate and stab him. The girls and Caleb, realizing A isn't going to show at the cemetery, make their way to Emily, and Caleb arrives in time to comfort Emily before he's shot. At the hospital where Caleb is in surgery, the girls find out that Garrett has been released and then receive a call from A telling them, "Emily, I owe you one." Mona returns to Radley and muses that their original plan to get Garrett out of prison didn't work, but they achieved their goal anyway. Her accomplice turns around revealing that Toby is the other A.
