Fairly Legal follows the story of Kate Reed. She quits her career as a lawyer and becomes a mediator, a job for which she’s perfectly suited.
Of course, Reed is much better at settling the disputes of others than she is at organizing her own life. Two prominent obstacles include her stepmother and soon-to-be-ex-husband.
