Recap
Darlene realizes she can't afford a home in Lanford and decides to expand her search by looking over an hour away in Rockford. Dan is upset because when Darlene lived in Chicago, an hour away, he missed five years of his grandkids' lives.
Don Blansky is selling the small Victorian home used for his funeral business because he's expanding and needs more space. Since people are hesitant to live in a former funeral home, he offers it to Becky and Darlene for only $500 a month.
Darlene and Becky plan to turn down Blansky's place because they feel the house is filled with decades of sadness and grief. Dan thinks they're being foolish, but Louise has an alternative. What if Darlene buys the property, knocks down the house, and Dan builds them a new home. Darlene, Becky, and Dan all agree to the plan.
Ben makes a commercial for the hardware store that plays at gas stations, and it increases his business by 25%. Jackie wants to make one too. Ben offers to help her film it, but Jackie's ideas are too outrageous and expensive. She and Ben end up fighting.
Jackie apologizes to Ben and admits she is overwhelmed at the Lunch Box. She's working 85 hours a week and is considering selling the business even though it's always been her dream.
Ben offers to help her update and computerize her payroll and inventory systems to make things easier. He also offers to be her sounding board when things get to be too much. Jackie is grateful and relieved.
