MTV's guiltiest pleasures wrapped up their seasons - and possibly their entire series - on Tuesday night with gripping, back-to-back, not at all contrived and phony finales.

Will The Hills and The City come back? That remains to be seen. If not, it will mark the end of an error era of bad scripted reality TV you just can't turn away from.

• On The Hills, Audrina whined, Kristin and Justin decided to give it a go as a couple (barf), while Brody dumped Jayde (yay) and Heidi isn't pregnant (thank the Lord). Read more about "The Boys of Summer" in The Hills season finale recap!

On the season finale of her reality show last night, Whitney kicked loser boyfriend Jay Lyon to the curb after he came around and begged for another shot. Too little, too late.

Last night on The City, Jay Lyon put Whitney Port "on lockdown." That means finally agreeing to call her his girlfriend. It was a watershed moment for Whitney and Justin-Bobby-like Jay.

Elsewhere, Erin and Duncan pondered their relationship, while Olivia looked pouty and mean.
