Marshall and Lily decide to put fate to the test when it comes to deciding whether or not they are ready to have a baby on the fifth season finale of How I Met Your Mother.

"The Wedding Bride"

Ted goes to see a new movie called The Wedding Bride and realizes that it is based on his relationship with Stella ... and written by Tony, who Stella left him for.

"Robots vs. Wrestlers"

Ted, Marshall, Lily and Barney crash a party at a swanky New York apartment. We imagine it will entail Barney hitting on girls.

Ted and Barney both decide they want Robin back as she and Don get serious. Marshall and Lily invest in some twin beds.

"Home Wreckers"

Ted buys a dilapidated house and takes Lily, Marshall, Barney and Robin to see it. That's bound to end well!

"Zoo or False"

Marshall gets mugged, leading Lily to think getting a gun is the answer to keeping her safe. Marshall comes up with a story about the mugging to try and stop her.

In "Say Cheese", it is Lily's birthday and history repeats itself when Ted brings another random girl to one of their group only functions. Read our full recap to find out what happened!

"Rabbit or Duck"

In "Rabbit or Duck", Marshall and Lily set up Ted with one of Barney's discards this week. While Robin is invited to a party by her co-worker Don.

"The Perfect Week"

This week's episode is titled "The Perfect Week." During it, Barney is encouraged to date seven girls in seven days - creating the "Perfect Week". Jim Nantz and Nick Swisher guest star.

When Lily refuses to believe that Jenkins, Marshall's attractive female colleague, kissed him, Marshall insists Jenkins tell Lily what really happened.

"Girls Vs. Suits"

Barney has to give up suits to land a hot bartender, Karina (Stacy Keibler), which leads to a musical number for the 100th episode.

"Last Cigarette Ever"

When Future Ted reveals the gang smoked, we see them all trying to quit; Robin butts heads with her new co-anchor, Don.

Maggie (Joanna Garcia), a girl next door Ted always wanted to date breaks up with her boyfriend, leaving a window of opportunity.

"Slapsgiving 2: Revenge of the Slap"

Barney get upset when Marshall gives one of his last two slaps to Robin and Ted; Lily's long-lost father (Chris Elliott) returns for Thanksgiving

"The Playbook"

Barney dusts off his old "playbook" to get himself back into the dating game after breaking up with Robin.

"The Rough Patch"

Ted and Marshall try to get Lily to break up Barney and Robin when they think they're miserable together.

Marshall and Lily mediate Robin and Barney's first fight; Barney pictures what things would be like if he were married to Lily

"Duel Citizenship"

Ted proposed a road trip with Marshall to Chicago to get their favorite pizza and Lily wants in; Barney tries to help get US citizenship for Robin

"The Sexless Innkeeper"

Marshall and Lily try to have a double date with Barney and Robin; Girls appear at Ted's apartment looking for a place to crash, making him the sexless innkeeper

Robin thinks that Barney is cheating on her, when he's actually taking "Robin 101" classes from Ted.

"Double Date"

While on a date, Ted realizes he's already met his date, Jen, seven years ago on a blind date. Barney discovers a Lily look-a-like stripper.


The new season of How I Met Your Mother kicks off with an episode titled "Definitions." In it, Robin and Barney try to keep their romance secret.
