The Mindy Project features Mindy Kaling as Mindy Lahiri, a OB/GYN with a penchant for romantic comedy movies and a quest for a self-improved personal life.
Mindy Lahiri has dated a decent chunk of eligible bachelors in New York. She consistently finds herself in the most awkward situations. She has lived in Haiti for almost a year and was engaged, but like all of her relationships, they quickly fizzle.
Mindy seems to think that she is much more appealing to guys than she actually is. In her office she is frenemies with Danny Castellano, a doctor from New Jersey. The two of them are the polar opposite. They argue non stop, but he is someone she confides in regularly.
Now, they are officially together, but Mindy still continues to get herself stuck in sticky situations.
