J.D. likes his patient's private practice doctor, Dr. Peter Fisher (Jay Mohr), but is shocked to find out he's the reason Jordan and Cox got divorced. Janitor tries to flirt with Elliot. Carla begins to doubt her sexiness.
The episode is told from Cox's viewpoint as he discusses the hospital and Jordan in his therapy sessions with Dr. Gross (Eric Bogosian). Elliot meets Paul Flowers (Rick Schroder), who she likes until she finds out he's a nurse.
Turk's brother, Kevin (D.L. Hughley) comes to visit with important news. Dr. Townshend (Dick van Dyke) runs into trouble with Kelso when J.D. screws up an out-dated procedure under Townshend's supervision.
Elliot: Dr. Cox, you're a waxer?! Dr. Cox: Hark! It is the high-pitched wobble of the Nosey Nelly. You don't see many of those flitting around these halls anymore because, quite frankly, when one does, one shoots to kill. Now bar-bie, Jordan is here for her ultrasound today and I'm going to be holding her claw the entire time so, what you've just done is essentially volunteered to do all of your work and all of mine. And if you'll step right this way I be more than glad to tell you more about you've won.
Elliot: I can't figure out what to do about Mrs. Kahn. I don't know if I should send her to surgery? J.D.: Well, don't send her to surgery. I'll tell you what you do: You wait and see. And I know I'm right, 'cause I'm a "wait and see" kind of guy. You know, Elliot, in modern medicine, we're faced with tough decisions almost every day- Elliot: You are amazing! J.D.: Well, amazing is sort of a strong word... I just show up and let the Lord work through me.
