J.D. likes his patient's private practice doctor, Dr. Peter Fisher (Jay Mohr), but is shocked to find out he's the reason Jordan and Cox got divorced. Janitor tries to flirt with Elliot. Carla begins to doubt her sexiness.
The episode is told from Cox's viewpoint as he discusses the hospital and Jordan in his therapy sessions with Dr. Gross (Eric Bogosian). Elliot meets Paul Flowers (Rick Schroder), who she likes until she finds out he's a nurse.
Turk's brother, Kevin (D.L. Hughley) comes to visit with important news. Dr. Townshend (Dick van Dyke) runs into trouble with Kelso when J.D. screws up an out-dated procedure under Townshend's supervision.
J.D. [to Cox]: you won't admit this, but you're in love with Carla. Carla: No, he's not. Dr. Cox: Actually, I am. Carla: You're starting again. J.D.: And Carla, you're mad that Turk didn't trust you enough to tell you. Turk: See? Trust, woman, trust! J.D.: Whatever. The point is that Turk is sorry. Turk: Not anymore! Carla: I can't believe you thought he was a threat. Dr. Cox: I'm a threat! Carla: You're not in love with me, you idealize me. J.D.: Can we just try and stay focused... Turk: You're mad 'cause I'm scared of losing you? Carla: Yes, because we're stronger than that! Dr. Cox: Apparently not!
Carla: Don't worry. Remember tomorrow's his wedding anniversary. Elliot: Why does that matter? Dr. Cox: 'Cause right about tomorrow, Bob Kelso will be sweeter than flowers dipped in honey. Dr. Wen: Which is why every year we use this time as an opportunity to ask him for anything our department needs. Like equipment. Carla: Or an extra nurse on weekends. Todd: Or a Slip 'n Slide! Who's with me?
